In the second of a three-match set, the Red Hawk volleyball team was down by one, serving for match point. They stood on the brink of evening the series up at one all with just one match left to play. This was when the Scarlet Raiders showed why they, and not the Red Hawks, are the defending Conference Champions.
On September 2, over 1,000 freshmen began school at MSU, embarking on a brand new journey. Many of them left their homes for the first time, and when they return they will be bringing a lot of things with them. Hopefully an education, new experiences, friends, and good times will be among these things.
MSU Intramurals was kicked off with an Entry Meeting on Wednesday, September 8. For the first half of the fall semester, there will be flag football, badminton, wiffle ball, and track & field. Hosted in the second half of the fall semester will be volleyball, bowling and ultimate frisbee.
Sports Guy, oh Sports Guy, where for art thou Sports Guy? Deny thy morals, and refuse thy objectivity. For the sportlings need not know of the Red Hawk failures, only their successes. The Sports Guy can hear the cries loud and clear. They haunt him while he sleeps, they pester him while eats, follow him to games, and glare with fear of what he might say next, as he watches, and takes notes.
