Oh yes, back with the full effect...the Entertainer of the Week for the first week of October, the month of Halloween. I want to present a band that isn't scary at all but, on the contrary, very hot and sexy - they're so very easy to look at. One year ago today, if you asked me who they were, I would be like, "don't know and really I don't care." But now that I'm no longer ignorant to their existence, I have seen the truth.
Who says the commercial music on the radio now is all bad? Maybe these guys were sent as a savior for the airwaves. I guess you're wondering who I am talking about. Ok, I can't hold it in anymore... it's Maroon 5! With their worldwide smash hit single, "This Love," the catchy tune has made it's permanent mark on music history. Ok, I know that song was so hot that it's been played out and lost all its scintillating flava.
So you might be asking why I am declaring them as the Entertainer of the Week? What did they do to deserve it? Well, what I have to say to that is: I don't care what you think! How about them apples! I think they're fabulous and I just can't get enough of them. These guys went from opening for acts like Counting Crows and John Mayer to headlining their own tours! Every single song on their debut album, Songs About Jane, is a banger. They each represent something that all individuals can relate to.
Their album has been on the charts for 72 weeks and has been in the top 10 for a few months. Songs About Jane has sold over 1,900,000 albums, globally. They also have been making pit-stops all over the world and really indulging in their great opportunities. Their last single, "She Will Be Loved" is now at number 6 on the charts and has a new video out to heat up the screen. They combine the essence of smooth operators with good-guy charm. I hope they continue to make great music and thrive in their careers in the years to come. Even though they don't have all the credability most senior bands do, they make great music and thus, they are going to be the ENTERTAINER OF THE WEEK!!!
