I'm speechless. I honestly don't know what to say. Two weeks ago, I predicted that the Vikings were going to destroy the Giants. Well, that went over great. I was half-right. The winning team did score 34 points, ONLY I PICKED THE WRONG TEAM!
Then, although there was no issue last week, I did predict the Giants to beat the Bears by a large margin. That went over even better. The Giants were up 14-0 on two rushing touchdowns by Tiki Barber early in the game; however the New York Idiots didn't score again until late in the fourth quarter, where it was just too little too late. Before I get into the criticism of Sunday's game, since I didn't get the opportunity to do so, let me analyze last week's game against the Vikings.
It was supposed to be the humbling of the Giants, but instead the Vikings were a part of one of the biggest upsets this year. Now, granted, the Giants were only one win less than the Vikings, but Vikings offense versus Giants offense; the Giants were supposed to get washed away. It started downhill for Daunte Culpepper when he lateraled, which turned into a fumble recovery for the Giants early in the game. Along with other turnovers, this was an early grave for the Vikings. Along with Tiki Barber doing his thing just as he has been doing all season long, the Giants clinched this game with ease. I was certainly astonished.
Many have stated that the only reason the Giants beat the Vikings was because Randy Moss did not play. I whole-heartedly disagree with that ridiculous statement. First of all, the score was 34-13. No one man would all of a sudden wake up his team from being horrible, I don't care who the person is. Second of all, Moss has nothing to do with stopping Barber's running, nor does he have anything to do with his own quarterback fumbling snaps. Give the Giants their due respect and move on. I'll admit I was wrong, and I'm a Giant fan, so do the same.
Now, as far as this past Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, I am dumbfounded, kind of like how Kurt Warner looks when he is on the football field. I never saw a quarterback that had no awareness on the field whatsoever quite like Warner.
